This is my first post on my new home away from home. "Why Lab Rat?" you may ask. Well it has to do with the tag line of the site also. "Thinking is destructive to the creative process". Which for me is more true than anything. My wife had talked me into starting my own blog a little while ago, and we were sitting here trying to think of what to call it. Fortunately for me I turned my brain off and started blurting out names that seemed funny at the time. After a little while the name "Donkey Punch" came out. As donkeys are funny and what would be funnier than punching one. While I started designing the header picture for it (still giggling at the thought of punching a donkey)(i really don't promote animal cruelty btw) my wife decided to search for "donkey punch" on various bloggers and sites... Come to find out we are both very naive. I am not going to go into it, but for those who are curious visit The Donkey Punch. Much to my dismay, after a lot of thought, and objections from my wife, I decided to scratch the whole donkey punch idea. So on again came the incoherent ramblings of blog names. After a little while of this I settled on "Lab Rat" as rats are funny, and what's funnier than a rat having mascara shoved in it's eyes (I'm kidding of course to all those animal activists out there). Now that I have explained my thought process, I give you my blog where I will mostly complain about my job, co-workers, boss, and general idiots/rednecks that I have to deal with on a daily basis. For a little example of things to come here is a picture that I saw on the back of a car coming out of a restaurant today.

Now. I have a child, a 1 year old son to be exact. So I understand how parents want to celebrate the accomplishments their children achieve (i.e. honor society, D.A.R.E., or straight "A"). But in the city of Canton the most of, if not all, of those honors are not achievable by the majority of the population, so they are reduced to celebrating their child's ability to READ. Just thought it was funny but pathetic at the same time. Hope you all enjoy my blog and come back often.
